System description
The microlube ADVANTAGE is a modular MQL system, and can be adapted at any time to suit your application – all you need are the relevant modules. microlube ADVANTAGE is not limited to any specific application, and can be adapted to individual customer requirements thanks to the newly developed module technology.

Applications
The microlube ADVANTAGE is used in the area of metal processing, with or without metal cutting, preferably for processing methods such as sawing, thread-cutting, drilling, stamping, turning, milling and in some cases bending and forming. Previous experience has concentrated predominantly on materials such as aluminium, aluminium alloys, non-ferrous metals (e.g. electrical contact materials), together with steels, stainless steels and plastics.

In heavy cutting applications, and especially for the sawing of thick-walled profiles or other hard materials, the tool is cooled using a coolant emulsion applied by a nozzle system, in addition to the normal lubrication. This ensures a longer working life of the tool.

Experience by users has shown that conventional coolant/lubricant systems can easily be converted for use with microlube ADVANTAGE MQL systems. Direct, positive effects are achieved immediately by the cost savings derived from waste avoidance, the simple operation of microlube ADVANTAGE, the lack of need for parts cleaning following processing and the low maintenance requirement, combined with a clean and tidy workplace.

Effects of the tool technology
The specific application of microlube ADVANTAGE produces significantly higher tooling life. In general, the use of the MQL system is indicated for all processes in which the workpiece and the cutting equipment are not in continual contact, and/or in which cooling and rinsing are not the primary task of the coolant/lubricant system. Thanks to the advanced lubricants, there are no specific application restrictions with regard to the materials being processed.

Running costs
With the use of microlube ADVANTAGE, substantial cost-saving potentials can be realised in comparison to conventional coolant/lubricant systems, especially in terms of waste avoidance.
